Nine Nigerians arrested in the U.S for $3.5m fraud

Nine Nigerians have been arrested in the U.S for allegedly defrauding their victims through fictitious online identities to the tune of $3.5m.

The fraud was allegedly committed through romance scam, a Russian oil scam and business email compromises.

They instructed their victims to wire payment to seemingly genuine and legitimate business counterparties into bank accounts that were actually under their control.
