Videos making waves on social media show passengers using emergency exit slides to escape the burning plane.

A witness said it was a miracle anyone could escape from the burning jet.

An official has said that the plane was forced to return to the airport ‘for technical reasons’, but did not disclose any further detail.

Two children and a flight attendant were among the dead. The plane was carrying 73 passengers and five crew members.

Aeroflot is Russia’s national carrier and 51% owned by the Russian government.
