An Emirati woman, Munira Abdulla has been in a coma since 1991, following an accident she had, when the car she was in collided with a bus.

She suffered severe brain damage and was found to be minimally conscious following the accident.

Abdulla was transferred to a German hospital, where she was operated several times.

Sometime last year, her son Webair had an argument with her, in her hospital room, which caused her shock and three days later, Webair heard his mother calling him and Abdulla’s journey to recovery began.

She is presently going through physiotherapy and rehabilitation and experts say ”there are only a few cases of people recovering consciousness after several years.”
