The CBN Governor warns-‘tough times are ahead of Nigeria’

The Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Godwin Emefiele while appearing before the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, had said that tough times are ahead of the country.

This is in view of the explosive population growth in the country on a yearly basis and what he called the penchant of Nigerians to sabotage government policies that encourage economic growth.

He said that Nigeria will be the third largest populated country in the world by 2050, which is projected to have 425 million people from the current population of 200 million.
